The clock chimes on the hour and is an 8 day clock, meaning that it will run for 8 days without winding. The model of the clock is Niagara, and it was made by the Fauveil Mfg. Co., Limited, Erie, Penn. This clock has a special inscription on the front glass that reads, Time Is Money, how true! This clock has unusual cut outs on the case indicating that it dates back to the Eastlake era, circa 1885-1890. It also has incised carving indicating the Eastlake time period. This is a great example of the gingerbread clock that could be found in many homes at the turn-of-the-20th century.
